Important Info for the week... I may add to this daily as I get info.

  1. The homecoming pep rally has an admission fee of $1. If a child is under school age, he/she will be admitted free of charge. The homecoming theme is Halloween, so some of what you see during the performance may be scary looking to some young children. (Ex. Spooky music, loud noises, creepy masks) Young children may want to be accompanied by an adult.
  2. Pike Lib will host a Spirit Day on Friday morning at Hardee's. PLAS will receive 20% of all pre-tax purchases made at Hardee's between 4am and 11pm (ALL DAY)! WOW! Please cut out and submit one of the attached spirit day cards to the cashier when ordering at Hardee's either through the drive-thru or inside the restaurant. The cashier will need to stable the card to your receipt and retain it so that the sales can be totaled at the end of the day. It is an easy way to help PLAS earn money for classroom resources we desperately need. Please give the other cards to friends and family to use on Friday. Contact the school if you need more! Thank you & GO PIKE!

Donations for DeMario Harris

Parents,
We are asking that each child donate at least $1 to the Harris family. This is going to help with the funeral cost. DeMario was a student and football player at Charles Henderson High School. Your child can bring the donation to me or you can turn it into the office. Thanks so much for your help and support.

Dr. Barron from Troy Animal Clinic came to visit.

Dr. Barron taught us about pet safety and answered questions about being a veterinarian. We are so happy he took time out of his busy schedule to share this with us. We had a GREAT time!! He sent us home with all kinds of neat things including: a stethoscope that we used to listen to "Little Man's" heart, a Frisbee, a comic book, animal tattoos, and other goodies. =)
I hope you enjoy the pictures!
